Manufacturing Production Manager

Job TitleEssential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Safety & CompliancePromote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.Lead safety improvement initiatives and investigate incidents as required.Ensure compliance with company policies, environmental regulations, and customer requirements.Production ManagementLead daily manufacturing operations to achieve production schedules and customer requirements.Ensure products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality standards.Monitor production performance, identify constraints, and implement corrective actions.Manage labor utilization, staffing levels, and resource allocation.Coordinate with Planning, Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to meet operational goals.Continuous ImprovementLead Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, and waste-reduction initiatives.Identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, quality, and profitability.Facilitate continuous improvement projects including preparation of Capital Purchases.Drive process standardization and best-practice sharing across operations.Leadership & Team DevelopmentCoach, mentor, and develop supervisors and production employees.Conduct performance reviews and establish development plans.Foster employee engagement and continuous learning.Lead change management efforts associated with operational improvements.Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, Business, or related field.5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience.Experience leading Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives.Strong knowledge of production planning, quality systems, and operational excellence methodologies.Experience supervising teams in a manufacturing environment.Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.Preferred QualificationsLean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.Key CompetenciesLeadership and team developmentStrategic thinkingProblem-solving and root cause analysisLean ManufacturingData analysis and KPI managementCommunication and collaborationProject managementPhysical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
