Purpose of Position Under direct supervision, performs operational and financial audits to improve the effectiveness of risk management, internal control and governance process within HHC. There are two (2) assignment levels within the class of positions; all personnel perform related work. Duties & Responsibilities Performs specific audit procedures of tasks as assigned and/or directed Prepares workpapers and communicates audit findings to appropriate personnel; supports supervising auditor in completion of assigned responsibilities Conducts interviews with client personnel to assist in the evaluation of internal controls Executes and completes audit fieldwork according to established procedures; documents internal controls Recommends internal control process improvements as necessary and/or appropriate Travels to HHC facilities and other locations as needed/or necessary Minimum Qualifications A Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university in accounting, finance, business administration or a related field of study; and, One (1) year of satisfactory experience in internal auditing and/or public accounting.
