• Position Type: Contract
• Contract Duration: 3 months
• Pay Rate: $40.00 / Hour (USD)
• Shift / Schedule: 7:30 AM start; every other weekend rotation required
• Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Job Summary

This facility is seeking an experienced Medical Technologist for a busy large hospital laboratory environment. The lab includes large neonatal units where performing differentials accurately is a critical part of daily operations. The facility will ONLY consider Med Lab Technologist and Med Lab Scientist candidates - Med Lab Technician will NOT be considered.

Required Skills

• Minimum 2 years of experience within specialty
• Experience with Cerner
• Experience using Sysmex and CellaVision systems
• Competency in performing differentials accurately
• Familiarity with managing complex samples including turbid specimens, platelet clumps, and abnormal cell findings

Preferred Skills

• Previous experience in a large hospital laboratory (600 beds)
• Ability to transition quickly into a high-volume, fast-paced laboratory environment with minimal onboarding
• Prior experience handling similar responsibilities in a lab that includes large neonatal units

Education Requirements

• ASCP, AMT, or AAB certification required
