Paralegal / Paralegal Senior

Position Summary

Under the direction of the Legal Compliance Manager, the Paralegal provides legal and governance support, along with administrative and executive support to the Legal Department.

This role contributes to the department’s day-to-day operations and supports services provided to the Board of Directors, senior leadership, and the Ahtna Family of Companies. The Paralegal operates within established policies, practices, and procedures to ensure efficient and compliant legal support.

The pay rate for this position depends on the level:

Paralegal: $35.82-$43.70/hour

Paralegal Sr: $86,189-$106,012/year

Minimum Qualifications

All Levels:

• Bachelor’s degree in any field; OR
  Associate degree in any field plus a paralegal certificate
  (Relevant experience may be substituted on a 1:1 basis)
• Appointment or eligibility for appointment as a Notary Public in the State of Alaska
• Valid Alaska driver’s license
• Ability and willingness to travel occasionally
• Advanced proficiency with:
• • Microsoft Office 365
  • Microsoft SharePoint
  • Adobe Acrobat
  • Document management systems
  • Legal research tools
  • Project planning applications

Experience Requirements

Paralegal:

• Minimum three (3) years of relevant paralegal experience

Paralegal Senior:

• Minimum six (6) years of relevant paralegal experience
