Position Overview

Jefferson Parish Schools is seeking qualified School Psychologists to join its student support services team for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time opportunity offers the chance to collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional success.

School assignments and caseloads will be determined based on district needs.

Primary Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and assessments
Interpret assessment data and develop written evaluation reports
Participate in eligibility, IEP, and multidisciplinary team meetings
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and related service providers
Provide consultation regarding behavioral, academic, and social-emotional interventions
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with federal, state, and district regulations
Support students through data-driven decision-making and evidence-based practices

Required Qualifications

Active Louisiana Department of Education School Psychologist Certification
Active professional license in the state where the candidate resides
Experience conducting psychoeducational evaluations in a school setting preferred
Strong written communication, organizational, and collaboration skills

Screening & Credentialing Requirements

Successful completion of all district onboarding requirements
Drug screening and fingerprinting required by Jefferson Parish Schools
Completion of all district credentialing requirements
