Job Description The Ambulatory Infusion Pharmacist reports to the ambulatory infusion manager and provides distributive and clinical pharmacy services primarily to outpatients of the Medical University clinics. Responsibilities include addressing nursing personnel needs regarding drug disposition and usage, counseling patients and healthcare professionals with general and specific drug information, ensuring timely and medically appropriate dispensing of medication to patients for assigned areas, preparing hazardous and non‑hazardous sterile products in accordance with USP 797 standards, and performing other related tasks as required. Minimum Training and Education Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or a Bachelor's degree in pharmacy. Completion of a pharmacy residency preferred. Licensure, Certifications, and Registrations Licensed as a Registered Pharmacist by the South Carolina Board of Pharmacy (required upon hire or within 90 days). Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification (required). Additional Requirements Valid South Carolina pharmacist license required upon hire or to be obtained within 90 days of hire. BLS is required for position.
