1:1 Aide (1st Grade Student - 26-27 School Year) Keystone Montessori School is accepting applications for a one-on-one aide for a first grader for the 26-27 school year to support and implement her IEP. The ideal candidate will have a master's in special education (or be working toward certification) and experience working with children with developmental delays and sensory processing issues. You will be part of a team of 3 teachers for a class of 9 toddlers. The position requires a gentle, loving and kind demeanor, positive redirection techniques, excellent classroom management, assisting the children gaining independence, replacing activities where they found them, helping with toileting and supervising the children during lunch, playground and rest time. Familiarity with Positive Discipline techniques and ability to form positive relationships with the children in your care as well as a warm and compassionate personality with a fun sense of humor are important. This position is ideal for someone who is interested in furthering their experience in education and is a good entry level position for someone interested in joining a private Montessori school.
