Senior Research Analyst/Data Coordinator (00022) – Brightpoint Community College Position within the Office of Institutional Effectiveness (OIE). Reports to the Director of Institutional Effectiveness. Location: Chesterfield – 041. Full‑time position with a hiring range of up to $85,000. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain Oracle queries, SAS Enterprise Guide programs, and SQL programs; create and organize libraries in a SQL warehouse; prepare automatic reporting and document procedures. Lead the transition of static reports into dynamic dashboards using Power BI; build, maintain, and refine interactive data visualizations. Provide data and analysis to meet state and federal reporting requirements; produce and analyze fact sheets, enrollment summaries, and other reports. Prepare and deliver data visualizations for ad‑hoc reporting requests to support executive decision‑making. Maintain the Student Achievement Data page; support accreditation, assessment, and strategic planning; develop and populate assessment report templates; provide analytics and visualizations for program reviews. Perform other duties as assigned, including assistance in emergency responses as directed by the Governor. Qualifications Work independently and collaboratively with a diverse campus community. Strong knowledge of SAS Enterprise Guide (preferred), SQL, research methodology, and statistical techniques. Proficiency in building dashboards and writing queries to meet specifications. Experience with data modeling using inferential statistics from multiple database sources. Excellent analytical and organizational abilities. Skilled in communicating findings through written reports and clear presentations with visualizations. Advanced Windows Office skills, including Power BI, SAS, Excel; programming in SQL and Python. Manage and update data lineage and data dictionaries. Author technical documentation such as user manuals and design documents. Capable of managing multiple projects, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines. Willingness to learn and apply new technologies to improve efficiency. Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of coursework and experience. Master’s degree preferred; experience in higher education, familiarity with PeopleSoft Oracle SIS, and proficiency with SAS, SPSS, or STATA is a plus. Knowledge of generative artificial intelligence tools for data analysis and reporting. Successful completion of a criminal background check and satisfactory reference and education verification.
