Customer Service Representative We are seeking a dedicated Customer Service Representative based in Saraland, Alabama , to join our team. This role involves constant interaction with customers across the country, ensuring orders are processed accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate will support multiple sales forces by communicating updates and necessary information to sales representatives and internal departments, maintaining up-to-date customer order data. This position requires professionalism, a positive attitude, and excellent communication skills (both listening and verbal/written. Job Responsibilities Take orders via phone, fax, mail, and email; enter sample, broadloom, luxury vinyl flooring, and coordinating trim orders Handle a high volume of incoming calls (up to 120-150 per day) Monitor orders and ensure shipping timely within 24-48 hours Establish a positive and productive working environment Respond promptly to customer inquiries Verify customer accounts Resolve customer issues and provide pricing and delivery information Communicate and coordinate with internal departments Check stock for current, dropped, and promotional products Convert measurements (e.g., square yards to linear feet) and pricing (e.g., square feet to square yards) File paperwork as necessary Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to type at least 30 words per minute Good problem-solving and decision-making skills Strong math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, percentages) Pleasant and professional phone manner; patience is essential Strong listening and comprehension skills Compensation and Benefits For this position, starting pay is $15.48/hour Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm After meeting the qualification requirements, employees are offered through Landrum: Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance and matching 401k.
