Position Overview Community: Olive Grove Terrace by Americare Senior Living Community Type: Assisted Living and Memory Care Location: Olive Branch, MS Shifts Available: 1st shift Employment Type: Part and PRN Pay: $14.50 to $15.50 hourly Role Summary Americare Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and dependable Personal Care Attendant (PCA) to support our residents’ physical and emotional well‑being in a warm, home‑like environment. In this rewarding role you’ll have a direct impact on residents’ daily lives by helping them feel safe, comfortable, and respected. You will work alongside a supportive team of caregivers and nursing staff who are committed to providing exceptional care and creating meaningful connections with residents and families. This Role May Also Be Known As Personal Care Attendant (PCA), Caregiver, Resident Care Assistant, or Personal Support Aide. What You’ll Do Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility. Provide compassionate physical and emotional support while preserving resident dignity. Monitor resident safety and observe for signs of distress or changes in condition. Accurately document resident care, activities, and changes as required. Communicate effectively with nursing staff and fellow caregivers regarding resident needs. Engage residents in activities that promote physical, emotional, and social well‑being. Maintain resident privacy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and company policies. Support a clean, safe, and welcoming living environment. Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age . High school diploma or equivalent. CPR and BLS certifications are a plus – training available . Skills & Abilities Friendly, patient, and positive attitude. Strong listening and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Attention to detail and commitment to resident comfort and safety. Physical Demands Lift up to 25 lbs. and assist with resident transfers as needed. Push, pull, and maneuver up to 100 lbs. , including resident mobility assistance. Maneuver resident wheelchairs weighing up to 350 lbs. . Work Environment This role is performed in an indoor senior living environment designed to promote comfort, safety, and engagement. Duties may include accompanying residents to supervised indoor or outdoor activities.
