Job: Bridge Inspection Engineer / Team Leader

Location: St. Louis Metro Area or O'Fallon, IL or Remote

We’re looking for a Bridge Inspection Engineer / Team Leader to join our Transportation Group. This role is ideal for someone eager to lead and learn in a collaborative environment while gaining experience in bridge inspection and design from a highly specialized team.

What You’ll Do

As a Bridge Inspection Engineer / Team Leader, you’ll:

· Serve as inspection team leader or team member on routine bridge and ancillary structure inspections (including sign and lighting structures), primarily in Illinois.

· Occasionally assist with inspections across the Midwest and Texas.

· Develop detailed inspection reports and documentation.

· Apply structural engineering principles to bridge inspection and design projects.

· Perform load rating calculations and support design efforts.

· Collaborate with team members to ensure quality and timely project delivery.

What You Bring

· Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering.

· EIT certification required; PE preferred; SE highly desirable.

· Engineering technicians with relevant experience are encouraged to apply.

· 2+ years of experience in bridge inspection and/or bridge design.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Positive attitude, commitment to quality, and excellent work ethic.

· Ability and willingness to travel for inspections.

· Completion of NHI courses for Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges and Ancillary Highway Structures (preferred but not required).

Physical Requirements

· Ability to work in outdoor environments and perform field inspections.

· Travel required for site visits and inspections.
