Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make an impact as a Special Education Teacher in a supportive elementary setting, working to empower students with significant cognitive and physical disabilities. This full-time, onsite contract position provides an opportunity to teach in Substantially Separate Classrooms, supporting either K-1st grade or 3rd-5th grade students in an inclusive, nurturing environment.

Preferred candidates have experience delivering specially designed instruction and implementing applied behavior analysis. You'll collaborate with support professionals, including Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), and play a vital role in fostering student growth and independence. Some students are non-verbal or require toileting support, so comfort and skill in these areas are essential.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Background working with severe/profound disabilities (both cognitive and physical)
• Experience with non-verbal students and those requiring toileting assistance
• Comfort in classrooms supporting students on the autism spectrum
• Skilled in delivering specially designed instruction
• Familiarity with applied behavior analysis (ABA) practices is strongly preferred
• Collaborative approach and willingness to partner with paraprofessionals and related service providers
• Compassion, patience, and dedication to creating a positive learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized, evidence-based instruction to students with diverse and severe needs
• Adapt curriculum and instructional methods to promote student success and independence
• Collaborate closely with other educators, RBTs, and support staff
• Maintain accurate records and participate in the IEP process
• Support students’ communication, social, and daily living skills
• Provide hands-on assistance, including participation in toileting routines when necessary
