Systems Administrator (Mid‑Level) Frisco, TX (Hybrid: 3 days onsite / 2 days remote). Contract – 12 months | Potential for conversion. Overview We are seeking a mid‑level Systems Administrator to support enterprise infrastructure in a fast‑paced, live‑event‑driven environment. This role is ideal for someone with hands‑on experience across Windows Server, VMware, and Microsoft 365 who is looking to grow into advanced engineering responsibilities. ALL TOP SKILLS ARE REQUIRED TO BE CONSIDERED. Key Responsibilities Maintain and support on‑premises server infrastructure and data center systems. Administer VMware environments (VM provisioning, snapshots, storage management, troubleshooting). Manage Microsoft 365 (mailboxes, licensing, user access). Administer Active Directory, including users, groups, and Group Policy. Monitor and support backup systems, including executing restore requests. Perform OS and application patching within maintenance windows following change‑management processes. Troubleshoot system alerts and incidents within defined support scope. Support escalations from the helpdesk and collaborate with next‑level engineers. Follow ITIL‑based change‑management and documentation practices. Participate in on‑call rotation, including occasional evenings and weekend support. Required Qualifications 3‑5 years of overall IT experience. 2‑3+ years of hands‑on systems administration experience. Strong experience with Windows Server administration in on‑prem environments. Experience with VMware (VM lifecycle management, snapshots, storage, reboots). Hands‑on experience with Microsoft 365 and Active Directory. Experience with patch management and change‑control processes. Familiarity with backup and recovery operations. Ability to work independently and appropriately escalates issues. Preferred Qualifications Experience with PowerShell scripting. Exposure to Cohesity or similar backup platforms. Knowledge of Entra ID, Conditional Access, and MFA. Understanding of ITIL processes.
