Occupational Therapy Assistant

Job Overview Cedar Health and Rehabilitation Center in Cedar City, UT is a post‑acute care facility that offers long‑term care, short‑term care, and geriatric services. The center seeks a full‑time Occupational Therapy Assistant to support our in‑house rehabilitation program. Responsibilities Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with cognitive and/or ADL and physical functioning disorders in accordance with regulatory and clinical practice requirements. Administer various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and the use of supportive and assistive devices. Assess patient progress and adjust treatments accordingly in the clinical record; evaluate treatment outcomes for effectiveness. Modify services in relation to patient evaluation; refer to other service providers as needed based on outcomes. Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding physical disorders. Effectively communicate with supervisors and other health team members regarding patient progress, barriers, and treatment plans. Provide comprehensive discharge summaries of services performed in accordance with regulatory and clinical requirements. Qualifications Occupational Therapy license required. Open to therapists at all experience levels; new graduates are welcome.
