Cloud Network Architect

Job Summary:

Our client is seeking two experienced Cloud Network Architects with expertise across AWS, Azure, and GCP networking, as well as DNS, DHCP, and IP address management (DDI) using Infoblox, to join the global network engineering team of a leading pharmaceutical company. In this role, you will design and evolve secure, scalable connectivity between on-premises environments and multiple public clouds, and help guide the enterprise DDI platform that ties it all together.

Key Responsibilities:

\n

\n
• Own the architecture, standards, and roadmap for multi-cloud networking across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
\n
• Design hybrid connectivity between data centers and cloud environments, including AWS Direct Connect, Azure ExpressRoute, GCP Cloud Interconnect, and site-to-site VPN.
\n
• Architect cloud network constructs such as VPCs/VNets, Transit Gateway, Virtual WAN, hub-and-spoke topologies, routing, and cloud-native firewalling and load balancing.
\n
• Design, maintain, and evolve the enterprise Infoblox DDI platform, including DNS, DHCP, IPAM, and integration with cloud DNS services.
\n
• Define IP addressing standards and DNS architecture that scale across on-premises and multi-cloud environments.
\n
• Partner with cloud platform, security, and application teams to support new cloud workloads and migrations.
\n
• Build infrastructure-as-code and automation for repeatable cloud network deployments.
\n
• Serve as a senior escalation point for complex cloud networking and DDI issues, and produce clear documentation and runbooks for operations teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

\n

\n
• 8+ years of enterprise network engineering experience, including 3+ years designing cloud networking in an architect or senior design role
\n
• Hands-on design experience with networking in at least two of AWS, Azure, and GCP, and working knowledge of the third
\n
• Strong experience with hybrid connectivity (Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, Cloud Interconnect, IPsec VPN) and BGP routing
\n
• Deep hands-on experience with Infoblox DDI, including DNS, DHCP, IPAM, and Grid architecture
\n
• Solid understanding of DNS design, including split-horizon, conditional forwarding, and hybrid cloud DNS resolution
\n
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
\n
• Strong communication skills and comfort working with cloud, security, and application teams
\n

Preferred Qualifications:

\n

\n
• Cloud networking certifications such as AWS Advanced Networking – Specialty, Azure Network Engineer Associate, or Google Professional Cloud Network Engineer
\n
• Infoblox certifications (e.g., Infoblox Certified DDI Expert)
\n
• Experience with cloud firewalling (e.g., Palo Alto VM-Series) and cloud load balancing (e.g., F5 in cloud)
\n
• Automation experience using Python or Ansible
\n
• Experience in a pharmaceutical, life sciences, or other regulated (GxP) environment
