Our client is a well-established machinery manufacturing company currently expanding operations in Gainesville, GA. As part of this critical growth, they are seeking a seasoned Human Resources Manager to lead HR operations and strategy across their plant. Role Overview:
This onsite leadership role will report directly to the HR Director and have a dotted-line relationship to the Plant Manager. The HR Manager will own the day-to-day HR operations for the Gainesville site. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, sometimes chaotic environments, and brings a strong manufacturing HR background. They must be confident working with senior leaders, influencing directors, and leading a team of up to 4 HR Generalists. Key Responsibilities:

They must be confident working with senior leaders, influencing directors, and leading a team of up to 4 HR Generalists. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead HR Strategy for the Gainesville site
- Manage a team of HR Generalists, providing leadership, coaching, and accountability.
- Attend Plant Manager staff meetings twice per month to align HR with operational needs.
- Partner closely with department directors and the Plant Manager on:
- Manpower planning
- Leadership development
- Internal communications
- Drive day-to-day HR operations, including:
- Employee relations
- Conflict resolution
- Coaching and performance management
- FMLA administration (limited scope)
- Employee investigations, disciplinary actions, and termination recommendations
- Maintain and manage time and attendance systems at the plant level.
- Ensure compliance with all employment laws: FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEO, etc.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR metrics and tracking systems.
- Help shape and maintain a strong company culture and employee engagement strategy.
- Ensure internal HR processes align with plant goals and employee needs.
- Bachelor’s Degree required (Human Resources, Business, or related field)
- 10+ years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- 5+ years of direct team management experience
- FMLA expertise and solid knowledge of labor law compliance
- Experience with HR metrics, manpower planning, and employee relations
- Must be a self-starter with strong communication and influencing skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
- Must be comfortable working onsite 5 days/week — no remote or hybrid options
