Civil Project Engineer III - Stormwater

Job DescriptionTimmons Group is currently seeking an experienced CivilProject Engineer III candidate to join our Stormwater Group located in our Charlotte, NC office location.Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses to investigate storm drainage issues and support stormwater management designsComplete calculations using engineering formulas and skills and/or utilizes computers in order to solve problems with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM models.Provide engineering assistance for the design of stormwater control measures, stormwater retrofit designs and other stormwater related projectsConduct background research on technical issues and write clear reports and memorandums to convey project results to our clientsAssist in the preparation of engineering and construction cost estimatesParticipate in field data collection and construction observation duties as directedCommunicate with clients and internal design team as directed by the Project ManagerSkills/Requirements of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:A bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related degreeIdeal candidates would have 5-8 years of water resources engineering including municipal drainage, proficiency in hydrologic and hydraulic modelingA demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects at the same timeWorking knowledge of CADD software (Civil 3D preferred)Must be dependable, responsible, and have good written/verbal communication skillsMust have a valid driver’s licenseAdditional InformationThe requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.
