Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring in a telemetry unit. Ensure accurate assessment, intervention, and documentation to support patient safety and recovery.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor patient vital signs and cardiac rhythms regularly to detect any abnormalities.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions, procedures, and post-discharge care.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in electronic medical records.
• Respond promptly to patient emergencies and escalate issues as needed.

Qualifications:

• Valid state RN license required.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a telemetry or cardiovascular unit.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Strong knowledge of cardiac monitoring technologies and protocols.
• Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, team-oriented environments.
