As a natural foods manufacturer, we take pride in our day-to-day operations at our bakery facility in West Nyack, NY (~30-45 mins outside of New York City). Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Strategy Manager to be a key member of the Sales & Marketing teams. This individual will gain broad visibility into the workings of a growing natural foods manufacturer, driving our understanding of the tactics that drive success at retail. You'll report directly to our Head of Sales & Marketing.

The primary goal of this role is to bridge the gap between our brand story and retail shelves. The right candidate will be equally comfortable pulling together a retailer sell-in deck with supporting sales data, optimizing paid shopper marketing/promotional plans, and being on-site for store activations and trade shows.

We are looking for someone to help define what “brand management” means for us at a fast-growing company. We envision this role to be close to sales data and retail execution for key product lines (managing what we have today), but there is also room for the right person to contribute to medium/longer-term innovations development and channel strategy (envisioning what we have tomorrow).

Snapshot of key responsibilities:

· Sales & Marketing Analysis

· Track sales & consumption data to identify areas of opportunity in product assortment and retail execution.

· Help optimize the ROI on marketing tactics and promotional activity.

· Coordinate and consolidate reports from across the sales organization to understand the bigger picture. Understand how results at one retailer may affect and be affected by the broader market for our products.

· Product & Customer Launch Coordination

· Develop compelling sell-in materials grounded in shopper data and brand strategy, including brand decks, new items presentations, and category insights.

· Own the onboarding of new retail customers, ensuring that we are supporting new distribution with appropriate levels of shopper marketing and promotional investment.

· Communications & Reporting

· Design logical views of the data that make datasets accessible and intuitive to a broad group of data consumers, such as a monthly management-ready dashboard of KPIs such as sales velocities, units/store/week, average retail price, etc.

· Lead the conversation by finding trends in the data, articulating the “so what,” anticipating follow-up questions, and translating insights into actionable recommendations.

What You’ll Need To Succeed:

• Bachelor's degree required
• 3+ years of experience in a marketing role at a CPG company; could be from a sales, marketing, or data analytics capacity. Experience in food & beverage preferred but not required.
• Good understanding of grocery retail landscape and an innate curiosity about how shoppers engage with products in a perishables/bakery environment. You should have a strong creative eye – you know what looks good on shelf and what will put the Abe’s brand in the best light.
• Familiarity with POS data such as SPINS/Nielsen/IRI and with shopper & retail marketing tactics such as Instacart, Roundel, Walmart Connect, and DoorDash. You don’t need to be an analyst, but you should be comfortable working with and using data.
• Strong project management skills and the ability to balance & prioritize tasks and deadlines.
• Ability to work on site in West Nyack, NY

Pay : The pay range for this position is $85,000-$100,000. Abe's Vegan Muffins takes into consideration a wide range of factors in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.
