As an experienced Superintendent working in the Building Operations team at Pomerleau Construction, you will support new and ongoing project growth, challenging industry standards with your trade-driven expertise and knowledge. Working on large-scale building and infrastructure projects – ranging from $1.5 million to upwards of $1 billion – you will work closely with the project management team, various client groups and subtrades to ensure project excellence through your outstanding leadership, keen eye for detail and commitment to quality, and health and safety. Responsibilities Become the safety champion for all job sites, leading by example in Health & Safety and Environmental Protection, ensuring compliance with safety standards, codes and regulations. Proactively manage project materials to meet the first‑class Quality Program, ensuring excellence through attention to detail. Mentor and guide on‑site teams, fostering an environment of collaboration, excellence, and success. Collaborate with trade partners and consultants to drive the construction schedule, ensuring all milestones and completion target dates are met. Recommend creative methods to boost efficiency and project excellence. Collaborate with the Project Manager during site start‑up, supporting and acting as a role model in client coordination meetings. Maintain compliance to building codes through active receipt of materials and adherence to all specifications. Maintain updated and accurate records and inventory for all projects, supporting the logistics team with precision. Play an integral role in the project wrap‑up process, celebrating successful achievements with the team. Qualifications Over 7 years of experience in construction. A construction‑related certificate, diploma, degree, or strong relevant experience. A proven track record of project success and the ability to promote team collaboration. Experience managing safety regulations, project scheduling, quality and cost control. Ability to view roadblocks as opportunities and implement creative solutions. Computer literacy and experience with scheduling software. Fluent in both official languages written and oral (English and French). Benefits RRSP with up to 5 % employer matching.
