The Manager directly oversees one or more salaried supervisors with indirect management over a large group of hourly employees. The Manager is accountable for all production processes to be adhered to and continuously improve the performance in area of scope.Key Responsibilities:Participates in the selection, training, and development of new employees.Coach, develop, and support team membersManages personnel, material, and equipment safely and effectively.Meets production cost, schedules, and quality requirements through the utilization of established manufacturing processes and methods.Facilitates floor operations and removes barriers for supervisors and hourly employees to meet measurable objectives.Implements and maintains Total Productive Maintenance (TPM). Operator Autonomous Maintenance execution, follow up and improvement.Engagement on machine condition continuous improvementLead OEE improvement across all areasServe as a leader, trainer, and coach of lean and TPM principles.Exemplify the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.Complies with the terms of the labor agreement.Key Performance Measures:SafetyProductivityQualityResponsivenessCostQualifications:Required:Associate Degree and/or equivalent experience requiredExperience:Required:3+ years prior Supervisory experience in manufacturing settingPreferred:5+ years prior Supervisory experience in manufacturing settingCompetencies and Behaviors:Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures.Oral and written communication skills.Knowledge of basic technology of area where assigned.Knowledge of scheduling and other management systems.Analytical ability for solving complex problems.Interpersonal skills to work effectively with others, motivate employees and elicit work output.Knowledge of safety and environmental practices.Knowledge of quality control procedures.Strong computer skills.Ability to adapt to changes in responsibility based on business needs.Scope Factors:First Level Manager: Leads a department, area, brand, or team.Manages lower-level supervisors or team of professional/technical employees .Frequently interacts with direct leadership and with peers of the same level or lower.
