Yard Forklift Operator Details:

  • Temp-to-Hire position
  • $19.00 / hour
  • Full Time work available
  • Weekend work required
  • First Shift ( Monday through Friday from 07:00am to 03:30pm )
  • Reports to the Yard Manager
  • Prepare and load trucks picking up material in yard.
  • Unload transports and place inventory in correct areas of the yard
  • Must be able to accurately count for inventory
  • Operate an all-terrain forklift in yard efficiently and safely to load trucks going out to job.
  • Note: will not be on forklift all the time. Some days will be all inventory of materials.
  • Use hand tools (band saws, hammers, jack hammer, screw drivers, wrenches, and drills), when not in the yard.
  • Keep yard clean and organized-Will salt sidewalks in winter, water plants in summer

Yard Forklift Operator Qualifications:

  • Ability to stand, bend, and frequently lift up to 50 lbs for continuous periods during 8-10-hour shifts.
  • Ability to operate an all-terrain forklift 
  • Able to work in all weather conditions
  • Able to do accurate counts on materials
  • Construction experience a plus
  • Applicant may be subject to a background check
  • Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
