About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chair for its Department of Bioinformatics. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and vision for the department, fostering a collaborative and innovative research environment, and overseeing the development and implementation of bioinformatics programs. The Chair will also be involved in mentoring faculty and students, managing departmental budgets, and representing the department in academic and professional settings. Applicants for the Chair of Bioinformatics position at the company should have a Ph.D. in bioinformatics, computational biology, or a related field, with a strong record of research and academic achievement. The role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders. Experience in grant writing and a proven track record of securing research funding are essential.
