Estimator - Resource Group

F.A. Wilhelm Construction – Estimator We are looking for an Estimator to join our team. Responsibilities An Estimator in our Resource Group prepares budgets, estimates, and pre‑bid packages for construction projects to be built for our lifelong clients. Essential Functions Effectively manage multiple estimates and proposals concurrently. Perform accurate and thorough quantity take‑offs. Properly evaluate drawings, specs, and other bid documents for all involved scope. Conduct site visits, pre‑bid meetings, and perform detailed scope evaluations for all trade work. Use multiple software systems and web applications for estimating and bid letting. Collect bids and evaluate for complete and comparable pricing. Write up project scope narratives in proposal format that is easily understood. Review bids with others for thoroughness and participate in project hand‑off meetings. Manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to ensure completion of all duties and tasks. Represent the company at all times with professionalism and a commitment to quality. Required Computer Equipment and Software Requirements Bluebeam (or similar) PDF viewer/takeoff software. Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Preferred HCSS HeavyBid (or similar) estimating software. Agtek (or similar) earthwork takeoff software. Primavera P6 (or similar) scheduling software. Education And Experience Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Minimum of 3–5 years of engineering, estimating, or similar experience with mass earthwork, underground utilities, water/wastewater treatment plants, or exposed piping.
