Nature of Work The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process. This includes patient assessment, teaching, and coordination of care with ancillary personnel, while maintaining the highest standards of practice. RNs in Med/Surg provide care for patients across the lifespan and may also administer intensive care to patients in the ICU as needed.
