Registered Nurse (RN) - Care Manager / Caregiver

This is a 13-week contract position for a Registered Nurse (RN) functioning as both a caregiver and care manager. The RN will implement the Nursing Process for a designated group of patients while directing and overseeing the work of other caregivers through delegation, coordination, supervision, and evaluation of patient care outcomes. Strong judgment and decision-making skills are essential for this role.

Responsibilities

• Perform assessment and data collection focusing on physiologic, psychosocial, and cognitive status.
• Implement care effectively following predetermined procedures, policies, and care plans.
• Identify patient and family learning needs and implement teaching strategies accordingly.
• Document patient care accurately in electronic medical records, adhering to policy and regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrate effective supervision and appropriate delegation of patient care activities.
• Maintain organization and prioritize care using sound critical thinking skills.
• Function as a Charge Nurse when required, including delegation of assignments and coordination of staff coverage.
• Engage in professional development to stay updated with the latest nursing trends.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Washington State RN Licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification within 30 days of hire.
• Preferred: Experience as an acute care registered nurse.
• Minimum one year of RN experience preferred for specialty nursing departments.
