Manufacturing Supervisor

2nd Shift SupervisorPosition at Sumitomo Electric Carbide, Inc. Sumitomo is looking for an experienced 2nd Shift Supervisor to join our New Berlin, WI team! We are looking for a leader who can roll up their sleeves, inspire their teams, and drive accountability and collaboration. Responsible for effectively supervising, coaching, and developing teams through proactive planning, practical implementation, addressing problems/concerns, and continuous improvement.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Supervise and coordinate manufacturing activities during the 2nd shift, ensuring production goals are met efficiently and safely.Train, cross-train, coach and develop the team to equip them with the necessary tools to succeed.Support continuous improvement efforts through lean manufacturing and 5S principles.Serve as a backup for the team leads.Understands and communicates department goals and objectives to all team members.Resolves employee issues through problem and conflict resolution.
