Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry / Med-Surg

Location

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on an 18-bed Med-Surg/Telemetry unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:5
• Manage a diverse patient population including CHF, DM, UTI, non-critical sepsis, HTN, COPD, isolation, end-of-life/palliative, post-operative general surgery, and patients awaiting placement
• Titrate Heparin and Cardizem drips (Cardizem up to 10 mg/hr) per unit protocols
• Read and interpret telemetry strips in collaboration with monitor technicians on the unit
• Operate and monitor respiratory equipment including CPAP and BiPAP
• Float to other units as needed and fulfill weekend rotation based on unit demands

Required Qualifications

• Current Washington State RN license or valid Compact RN license
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in an acute care setting
• Ability to titrate Heparin and Cardizem drips
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Med-Surg/Telemetry unit
• Familiarity with end-of-life and palliative care patient populations
• Experience working with CNA support staff and interdisciplinary care teams
