REPORTS TO Store Manager Area Manager POSITION SUMMARY Assists the Store Manager with daily operations and assumes full leadership in their absence while ensuring the store operates under the Guideline laid out within the Snapshot of Success. Primary duties include customer service, team development, and operational efficiency. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Customer Service: Greet customers warmly and ensure high quality service. Address customer needs and resolve concerns promptly and professionally. Lead staff on effective customer service practices. Store Operations: Execute daily shift duties (register operations, cleaning stocking, POS/back-office equipment). Maintain displays, signage, shelf labels, and conduct weekly audits. Enforce all company policies, safety standards, and security protocols. Provide daily operational and staffing updates to the Store Manager. Team & Management Duties: Train, delegate tasks, while communicating expectations. Assist with hiring support, performance evaluations, and consistent policy enforcement. Promote accountability, teamwork, and excellent customer service. Escalating issues requiring higher level involvement. PROFESSIONALISM & LEADERSHIP EXPECTATIONS Report in clean required uniform; maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude. Lead by example in work ethic, customer service, and policy compliance Set clear expectations, hold staff accountable, and foster teamwork. QUALIFICATIONS Education & Experience: High School diploma or GED required; previous customer service experience desired; 1 year of retail management experience preferred. Core Skills: Basic math skills; clear English communication (speaking and understanding); strong problem-solving abilities. Ideal Personal Attributes: People-oriented, achievement-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable managing frequent shifts in daily priorities. Availability: Open availability during operating hours to respond to store needs. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Stand for extended periods of time, Safely life up to 50 pounds, Climb ladders safely, Enter and work in a walk-in cooler at 35°F for up to 30 minutes to fully stock products.
