Sr. Machinist

A Sr. Machinist job in West Point, MS is available courtesy of Akkodis. The Senior Machinist is a highly skilled, lead-level manufacturing professional responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of CNC and manual equipment including vertical milling machines, press brakes, and plasma cutting systems. This role serves as a technical resource for the shop floor, ensuring parts are produced to engineering specifications with a strong emphasis on quality, precision, and on-time delivery.

Pay: $33/hr up to $35/hr

Sr. Machinist responsibilities :

• Support timely review of GMP documentation and ensure alignment with quality and regulatory expectations prior to release and/or approval (batch records, analytical data/specifications, validation protocols/reports, deviations, change controls, CAPAs, etc.).

• Maintain organization of project deliverables for external partner project using applicable tools.

• Identify, communicate, and mitigate quality risks in a pro-active and collaborative manner maintaining the business interests of Sanofi and consideration of suitable outcome for the projects.

• Participate in and support, or lead where appropriate, batch associated deviations, risk assessments, and change controls in compliance with SOPs and company policies.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; completion of a formal apprenticeship program, trade school, or associate degree in machining technology strongly preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on machining experience, with at least 2 years in a senior, lead, or setup machinist capacity.
• Demonstrated experience operating CNC vertical milling machines, press brakes, and plasma cutting equipment in a production environment.
