Quality Manager

Eaton's GEIS division is currently seeking a Quality Manager. This role is onsite at our Amarillo, TX facility. Relocation within the United States is provided for this position. Built in 1981, the Amarillo facility, with approximately 140 team members, is a thriving iron foundry that serves our customers with a variety of parts, including conduits, covers and fittings. The expected annual salary range for this role is $97000 - $143000 a year. Please note the salary information shown is a general guideline only. What you'll do: The Quality Manager position reports to the Plant Manager and is responsible to lead the total plant QA/QC system. This includes all traditional quality verification activities including receiving and in-process inspection, test, audit and repair activities, continuous improvement, product launch, supplier quality, quality system compliance and problem solving. You will provide technical assistance and quality leadership to all operating departments; drive problem resolution utilizing an 8D approach along with statistical methods and other problem-solving techniques; collect and analyze quality data and perform a wide variety of quality engineering activities in support of business objectives. In this role you will: Sustain and improve current manufacturing processes, APQP quality standards, ISO 9001, and customer requirements. Ensures all plant personnel adhere to quality and process controls. Continually increase "quality awareness" in all associates and suppliers driving a quality culture to support our customers and achieve business goals. Manage, coach, and develop quality associates and promote a positive quality culture throughout the facility by establishing sound systems and a demonstrated process focus. Management of QMS and plant certifications with plant team members Skillful in PFMEA, Control plan and standard work Develop and lead quality related technical training to operations to ensure that Eaton Crouse-Hinds is in compliance with established quality policies and procedures; meets or exceeds customer quality expectations and standards; ISO and other certification requirements. Establish systems for data collection and analysis. Then, use that data to drive continuous improvement activities within all manufacturing departments. Plan for, lead, and measure "voice of process" and "voice of customer" performance and quality system effectiveness. Making adjustments in strategy and/or procedure as necessary. Resolve internal and external quality concerns in a definite and timely fashion. Qualifications: Basic (Required) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. Minimum of five (5) years of experience in quality assurance or quality engineering within a manufacturing environment. Minimum two (2) years of people leadership experience. Detailed knowledge of ISO9000 quality system requirements. Expert skills in using and training quality tools (i.e., Fishbone Diagrams, 5- whys, 8D, Gage R&R, FMEA, SPC, etc.). Certified Quality Auditor Credential. Certification by the American Society for Quality as Six Sigma Black Belt or Certified Quality Engineer. Experience with metal machining, molding and assembly processes, casting experience. CMM programming and operating knowledge. Working knowledge of AIAG standards, including APQP and PPAP.
