About the Position

Job Title: Cardiac Telemetry RN Stepdown/PCU Profession: Nurse Specialty: Staff Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 5 years of RN experience, with experience in a cardiac tele department License: Current RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Experience with TAVR, watchmans, mitral clips, heart catheterizations, preop/post op open heart, cardiac IV and PO, cardiac drips, anticoagulant therapy, CHF, CP, arythmias, NSTEMI, STEMI, PE, post op CABG, Sepsis, PNA, Stroke, observation patients, TR band, groin management, and familiarity with complications. Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) protects, promotes, and optimizes health and abilities. They focus on the prevention of illness and injury and the alleviation of suffering. The RN is accountable for compliance with all standards of practice and professional development. They promote a caring and healing environment for patient-centered care. Responsibilities include: Assessing, planning, delegating, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for a group of patients. Serving as a primary nurse and/or accountable nurse when designated by unit assignment. Educating patients and families in health promotion and disease management. Utilizing a working knowledge of pharmacology and safely administering medications. Sharing responsibility for productivity and effective resource utilization. Complying with all nursing practice standards and regulatory requirements. Participating in and supporting the Nursing Shared Governance Model. Engaging in professional development and completing all mandatory education requirements. Integrating nursing research and current evidence into practice. Providing a supportive learning environment for new employees and students. Performing other duties as assigned.
