Part time Advanced Lab Technician

Compensation $14.00 – $14.92 per hour. Position Summary This position monitors and coordinates the activities of assigned laboratories and provides support and assistance to enable effective and safe lab operations. Job Duties Assist lab assistants and support faculty and students regarding appropriate use of equipment and lab procedures, including mixing chemicals. Troubleshoot laboratory problems. Set up and take down labs for class when appropriate. Clean and stock materials. Provide necessary materials and equipment required for effective laboratory instruction and experiments. Assist faculty with the preparation of lab materials and lab tests. Monitor and coordinate lab activities; train and/or provide guidance to part-time lab technicians and student assistants. Maintain safe and clean working conditions in the lab. Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment. Prepare specimens for laboratory use. Maintain lab equipment as needed and keep supplies stocked. Perform similar and related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications AA degree or two years of experience working in a science, chemistry, or medical laboratory.
