About the Position

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Educational Diagnostician to provide assessment, evaluation, and consultation services within a K–12 school setting. The ideal candidate will collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to identify student needs, support eligibility determinations, and ensure students receive appropriate educational services and accommodations.

Job Duties

• Conduct comprehensive educational evaluations and assessments to determine student strengths, needs, and eligibility for special education services
• Administer, score, and interpret formal and informal assessment measures
• Prepare detailed evaluation reports and provide recommendations based on assessment findings
• Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, related service providers, and families throughout the evaluation process
• Review student records, academic performance, behavioral data, and intervention history
• Provide recommendations for accommodations, modifications, and appropriate educational supports
• Ensure evaluation procedures comply with IDEA, state regulations, and district requirements
• Maintain accurate documentation and complete evaluations within required timelines
• Support teams in making data-driven decisions regarding student services

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Educational Diagnostician, Special Education, School Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution
• Valid Louisiana certification/endorsement as an Educational Diagnostician through the Louisiana Department of Education (LDOE), or eligibility to obtain certification
• Knowledge of special education evaluation procedures, eligibility criteria, and IDEA compliance requirements
• Experience administering and interpreting psychoeducational and academic assessments
• Strong understanding of IEP development and multidisciplinary evaluation processes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, administrators, and related service providers
• Successful completion of required background screening and district onboarding requirements
• Previous school-based evaluation experience preferred
