Major emphasis shall be placed upon preventative and predictive maintenance. The Mechanic shall be capable of working with little or no supervision, and limited direction from specialized trades. Type of Opportunity: Full time Job Exempt: No Job is based: Presbyterian Santa Fe Medical Center Work Shift: Days (United States of America)Responsibilities:Presbyterian is seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform scheduled preventative maintenance on fixtures and equipment within an assigned Zone, ensuring all work aligns with Facility Services SOPs. This role carries primary responsibility for repairing, lubricating, and adjusting hospital equipment to maintain a safe and comfortable environment. The technician will independently prioritize tasks, monitor the performance of building and utility systems, and uphold all PHS and departmental policies. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning through training and in‑service programs, as well as an understanding of departmental budgets with the ability to recommend cost‑saving measures. Additional responsibilities include serving as a maintenance resource for departments within the Zone, supporting organizational values and strategies, conducting daily rounds, maintaining and replacing filters, and performing other duties as assigned.This position is eligible for the Northern New Mexico differential of $4.00 per hour.
