District Courier

Hourly Location: Burlington County Institute of Technology & Burlington County Special Services - Shared Position Summary

BCIT & BCSSSD is seeking a reliable and responsible District Courier to provide timely pickup and delivery services across all district locations. This position plays a key role in supporting daily operations by ensuring the safe and efficient transport of mail, materials, and equipment.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License (required)
• Minimum of three (3) years of safe driving experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and follow assigned delivery schedules

Hourly Rate: $16.00 to $20.00 per hour

Reports To: School Business Administrator

Performance Responsibilities

• Provide pickup and delivery of internal mail to all district sites on an assigned schedule
• Perform pre-delivery sorting, inspection, and determine appropriate routing for mail and packages
• Deliver special packages, books, and school materials as needed
• Assist Transportation, Facilities, and the School Business Administrator as assigned
• Support business office functions, including banking-related tasks
• Transport furniture and equipment between school locations
• Assist maintenance and operations crews as needed
• Respond to after-hours emergencies when requested
• Deliver Board of Education agendas and materials to board members
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor

• Must pass criminal history background check
• Proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status required
• Must be able to meet physical demands of the position
