Python DeveloperAn Oil & Gas company located in Downtown Houston is seeking a Python Developer to join its Information Systems department. This group builds and supports software solutions that power real-time operational decision-making across Oil & Gas production environments. The applications developed by this team are used by a wide range of stakeholders, from field engineers to executive leadership. In this role, you will contribute to multiple application projects, partnering closely with front-end engineers, Data Scientists, and Business Analysts/Product Owners to translate business requirements into scalable, high-performing solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain full-stack applications using Python, Node.JS, Nest.JS, FastAPI, and Oracle DBDesign, develop, and maintain RESTful and asynchronous APIs using FastAPI and FlaskOptimize API performance, reliability, and scalabilityWrite and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure high-quality, maintainable codeContainerize and deploy applications using Docker and KubernetesDebug and troubleshoot production issues in a real-time environmentFollow software development best practices, including code reviews and CI/CD pipelinesBased on knowledge and experience, this position offers an hourly pay rate of $65-75/hr.
