Cardiology - Physician

Morehouse School of Medicine (MSM) is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Cardiologist to join our growing Division of Cardiology. This is an excellent opportunity for an academically minded cardiologist to combine high-acuity clinical care, medical education, mentorship, and research at one of the nation's leading public academic medical centers.

The successful candidate will provide inpatient and outpatient cardiovascular care primarily at the Grady Hospital Heart & Vascular Center in downtown Atlanta and will educate and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows.

• Academic faculty appointment with Morehouse School of Medicine.
• Inpatient and outpatient cardiology practice at Grady Memorial Hospital.
• Opportunities for teaching, mentorship, clinical research, and scholarly activity .
• Diverse and medically complex patient population.
• State-of-the-art cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology laboratories.
• Hybrid cardiovascular operating room.
• 24/7 STEMI program .
• Comprehensive heart failure program and advanced cardiovascular imaging.
• Collaborative, multidisciplinary academic environment.

Required:

• MD or equivalent degree.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease.
• Eligible for medical licensure in Georgia.
• Commitment to excellence in clinical care, education, and teamwork.

Preferred:

• Experience teaching medical students, residents, and/or fellows.
• GME and mentorship experience.
• Level II training in echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, and transesophageal echocardiography .
• Level III training or expertise in cardiac CT and cardiac MRI is highly desirable.
• Clinical research and scholarly experience.
