Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Medical Telemetry/Intermediate Care unit will provide high-quality patient care to individuals with complex medical conditions. The role includes monitoring and managing patient health, administering medications, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a telemetry/IMC setting.
• Monitor patient vital signs and telemetry readings.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapies.
• Conduct patient assessments and develop care plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
• Educate patients and families regarding health care needs.
• Float to med/surg units as necessary based on patient care needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1-2 years of RN experience in a telemetry or IMC setting.
• Current BLS certification.
• Experience with ventilators and tracheostomy care.
• Ability to interpret telemetry strips.
