Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 9-Week Assignment | 12-Hour Day Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | 36 Guaranteed Hours Per Week | Every Other Weekend and Holiday Rotation

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 16-bed Medical-Surgical ICU at a Level 2 trauma facility, maintaining a primary patient ratio of 2:1
• Float between MS ICU and Neuro ICU units, with possible float to other critical care and inpatient units as needed
• Manage complex critical care cases including stroke care, cerebral monitoring and drains, mechanical ventilation, drips, chest tubes, spinal drains, JPs, and CRRT patients
• Care for patients presenting with conditions such as sepsis, respiratory failure, alcohol detox, and trauma including logging, motorcycle, and snowmobile accidents
• Collaborate with clinical leads, shift leaders, CNAs, and LPNs to deliver safe, timely, and independent patient care
• Adhere to all facility infection control policies, including masking requirements during flu season if vaccination is declined

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin RN License
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• NIHSS certification
• Minimum 2 years of MedSurg and ICU experience
• Strong Neuro ICU experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CCRN certification preferred
• Experience with EPIC electronic health records
• Ability to manage independently, adapt to change, and complete tasks in a fast-paced critical care environment
