Warehouse & Relief DriverPosition Responsibilities (Daikin Division Williams Distributing Co. and Shoemaker Inc.) The Warehouse & Relief Driver plays a dual role in ensuring efficient warehouse operations and supporting local deliveries. This position is responsible for off-loading, put-away, picking, staging, and inventory management of equipment and parts, while also serving as a backup driver to deliver products to customer and company locations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and excellent customer service skills. May include:Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to load/unload and transfer materialsReceive, stock, and organize inventory in designated locationsMaintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle countsComplete will calls and prepare orders for delivery or customer pickupEnsure warehouse cleanliness and safety through daily inspections and good housekeeping practicesAssist customers and internal staff with product inquiries and order fulfillmentWear proper PPE and uniform during all shiftsFollow standard operating procedures and company policiesServe as a backup driver for local deliveries as neededSafely load, secure, and deliver products to customer sites using company vehiclesPerform pre- and post-trip inspections of delivery vehicles and forkliftsMaintain compliance with DOT regulations and company safety standardsAccurately complete delivery logs and related paperworkProvide courteous and professional service during deliveriesAssist with front counter or branch operations when requiredKnowledge & Skills Minimum 21 years old Possesses a valid driver's license in the state of employment Has a working knowledge of commercial truck mechanics Has a working knowledge of current Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations Has a minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience within the past 3 years Placement as driver is contingent upon successful completion of DOT road test, pre-employment drug & alcohol testing, and background check DMV record cannot reflect an excess of 2 moving violations and/or preventable accidents within the past 3 years Valid driving license with excellent driving record Must pass DOT standards Excellent customer service skills Ability to proficiently use MS Office including Outlook & Excel, Mincron and a scanner Experience Minimum 1 year of warehouse experience Minimum 1 year of operating a DOT regulated vehicle, box truck preferred Current Valid Driver License Education/Certification High School diploma or GED required Valid driver's license
