Order fulfillment associate

job summary:
We are seeking a motivated, hands-on Order Fulfillment Associate to join our fast-paced fulfillment and delivery team. In this role, you will be on the front lines actively performing picking, packing, and aircraft loading activities while simultaneously stepping up to support the Operations Team Lead in daily supervisory duties. The ideal candidate thrives in dynamic settings, leads by example, and is looking to develop their leadership career. A foundational understanding of supply chain processes and performance metrics is highly desirable.

Various shifts are available. Core hours are 8:00am-8:00pm, but hours will vary between 6:00am-10:00pm with a max of 40 hours a week. Hours are dependent upon business needs, personal preference, and may vary between a traditional 8 hours, 5 days a week or even 12, 12, 12, 4.

responsibilities:
What You'll Do Fulfillment & Flight Operations

• Accurately pick, pack, and prepare customer orders following established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Perform quality checks to ensure order accuracy and proper package weight
• Safely load packages onto delivery aircraft
• Assist with daily site setup to ensure equipment is operational and work areas are clean, organized, and safe
• Complete daily inventory counts and maintain inventory accuracy
• Help maintain equipment and operational readiness throughout the shift

Operations Support

• Assist the Operations Team Lead with monitoring workflow and daily operations
• Provide guidance and support to fellow team members as needed
• Step in to help coordinate daily activities when the Team Lead or Tier 2 leadership is unavailable
• Promote a strong culture of safety and compliance
• Support operational goals by helping improve throughput, efficiency, and order accuracy

Schedule Availability is required between 6:00 AM and 10:00 PM, seven days per week . Employees will work up to 40 hours per week , with schedules assigned based on business needs. Flexibility is required.

• One-year assignment with the possibility of extension based on performance and business needs
• W2 employment
• Non-Exempt position with overtime paid at 1.5x the regular hourly rate for hours worked over 40 per week

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

1-2 years of experience in a fast-paced environment such as logistics, warehouse, fulfillment, retail, or operations

Self-starter who can work independently while contributing to a collaborative team

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Commitment to workplace safety and following established procedures

Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt in a fast-moving environment

Valid driver's license with the ability to travel between nearby operational sites when needed

Ability to successfully pass a background check

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience training, coaching, or mentoring coworkers

Understanding of warehouse or supply chain operations

Familiarity with operational performance metrics such as order accuracy, throughput, productivity, or cycle times

Interest in developing leadership skills and advancing into operations leadership

Physical Requirements

Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift

Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 pounds

Comfortable performing repetitive physical tasks in an active operational environment
