Cashier Position

Reporting to the Site Leader, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • The Cashier is responsible for accurately processing food item transactions, maintaining the balance of the cash drawer and providing customer service to guests of the location.
  • Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by location based on client requirements, and business needs.

Essential Functions:

  • Operates a register and handles cash and credit card transactions.
  • Greet and assist customers while anticipating their needs.
  • Count, organize, and balance cash drawer.
  • Fill out the cashier slip and make deposits.
  • Adheres to cash handling policies and procedures.
  • Ensures security of company assets.
  • Maintains excellent customer service and positive attitude towards guests, customers, co-workers, etc.
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned by manager.

Qualifications:

  • Previous cashier experience
  • Food Handlers certificate required
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications an asset
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team

Salary Grade: 14.50
