The achievers and courageous challenge‑crushers we seek have the following characteristics and skills: What You Will Do Own and support daily heat treat operations, ensuring processes run consistently and meet material specifications. Develop, monitor, and optimize heat treat cycles (hardening, tempering, annealing) to improve quality and efficiency. Lead pyrometry activities in compliance with internal standards. Maintain furnace performance through equipment tuning, troubleshooting, and preventive calibration practices. Ensure full compliance with NADCAP and internal quality standards; support audits and corrective actions. Manage and improve documentation, traceability, and process records for heat treat operations. Drive digitization of heat treat data and workflows using systems like Solumina and SAP platforms. Partner with quality and operations teams to investigate defects, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions. Provide technical guidance on material behavior and heat treat outcomes to cross‑functional teams. Identify and implement process improvements to increase repeatability, reduce variation, and enhance overall throughput. What You Will Bring Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, or related field. Minimum of 3 years of materials science/metallurgy experience. Working knowledge of pyrometry and heat treat process controls (e.g., AMS 2750 standards). Familiarity with quality systems in regulated environments (NADCAP experience preferred). Pay Range $85,000 - $95,000 per year Work Requirements This role is considered an on‑site, first shift position located in Windsor Locks, CT. You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required first shift hours (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM). Shop floor environment, which may include extensive walking and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs. Travel Requirements Due to the nature of the work, 5% travel is required.
