Role Description The Marketing Communications Lead is a full-time, on-site role based in Morrisville, NC. This role is responsible for developing and executing marketing communication strategies that clearly articulate Firecrest Aerospace’s mission, products, and capabilities to government agencies, prime contractors, partners, and industry stakeholders. Day-to-day tasks include planning and creating content such as press releases, executive messaging, marketing collateral, website copy, and presentations, as well as managing public relations initiatives and coordinating media outreach. The Marketing Communications Lead will collaborate closely with leadership, engineering, and business development teams to ensure consistent, accurate messaging across all channels, support brand positioning, and maintain alignment with strategic objectives. This role has a strong focus on social media, involves monitoring communication performance, refining strategies based on feedback and analytics, and ensuring all materials comply with regulatory and security guidelines relevant to defense and aerospace. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 5–8 years of marketing experience with strong execution capability. Strong Marketing Communications and Strategic Communications skills to develop, implement, and measure integrated communication plans. Excellent Communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication and the ability to tailor complex technical information for diverse audiences. Experience creating and managing Press Releases and Public Relations initiatives, including media relations, briefing materials, and event communications. Ability to craft consistent messaging across digital and print channels, with attention to brand voice, accuracy, and audience needs. Familiarity with digital marketing tools, content management systems, and analytics platforms to support communication effectiveness. Preferred experience. Experience in defense, aerospace, or other highly regulated technical industries is preferred.
