Title: Center Director

POSITION SUMMARY

The Center Director serves as the chief executive officer of the organization and is responsible for overall leadership, strategic direction, and operational management. The Center Director will be under the supervision and direction of the Board of Directors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide strategic leadership and vision in alignment with the organization's mission and goals. Partner with the Board of Directors to develop and implement policies, long-term plans, and organizational priorities. Oversee daily operations, including administration, programs, facilities and staff management. Hire, supervise, and evaluate staff (both paid and unpaid), foster a positive, productive, and mission-driven workplace culture. Develop and manage the organization’s budget; ensure sound financial practices and accountability. Lead fundraising efforts, including donor development, grant writing, and community partnerships. Establish and maintain relationships with various organizations throughout the community and utilize those relationships to strategically enhance the Center’s mission. Develop and implement a marketing plan to increase visibility of the Center and to increase membership. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards. Monitor and evaluate programs to ensure effectiveness and alignment with mission. Other duties as assigned by the Board of Directors.

QUALIFICATIONS

Degree in nonprofit management, business administration, human resources, social sciences, communications, education, journalism or a related field; advanced degree preferred. Experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Significant leadership experience, ideally within a nonprofit or mission-driven organization. Demonstrated success in organizational management, including strategic planning, program development, and operations oversight. Proven ability to work effectively with a Board of Directors and support strong governance practices. Strong supervisory and team leadership skills, with experience managing staff and volunteers. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience in financial management, budgeting, and organizational operations. Background in fundraising, grant writing, membership development, and donor relations. JOB TYPE: Full Time, Monday to Friday, and some evenings and weekends, including emergency situations. SALARY: $60,000 - $70,000 per year
