Description You will be the Low Observables Engineer for the Low Observables team (Signature Management & Survivability) which is responsible for advancing stealth and signature reduction technologies. What You Will Be Doing As the Low Observables Engineer you will be responsible for leading the development, analysis, and integration of low‑observable solutions across the aircraft survivability portfolio. Your responsibilities will include: Perform, analyze, and communicate vehicle signature predictions using Unix‑based codes and tools. Lead signature‑reduction trade studies and optimization campaigns for platform‑level and component‑level designs. Plan and execute laboratory measurements of material coupons and vehicle signature tests, and report results. Develop and apply advanced electromagnetic metamaterials, including modeling, fabrication, and testing. Write and maintain scripts for batch analysis and post‑processing to accelerate data workflows. Further Information About This Opportunity MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics or related technical degree/equivalent with experience in RCS/LO technology and 1+ years of related professional experience. Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics or related technical degree/basic knowledge of RCS/LO technology. Professional experience in RCS, LO technology, RF, CEM simulations, or electromagnetics. U.S. Citizenship. Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Security Clearance. Desired Skills Active DoD Top Secret Security Clearance or TS//SCI. Recognized experience in low observables (LO), survivability, or susceptibility. Experience with radar cross section reduction (RCSR) or radio‑frequency (RF) antenna design/integration. Expertise in LO modeling and predictions with experience using CEM, Method of Moments (MoM), Xpatch, SENTRi, HFSS. Experience with LO integration / multi‑discipline air vehicle systems design. Experience in RCS range testing. Experience with LO materials and LO material integration onto physical platforms. Knowledge of RADAR, RF materials, RF material measurements. Experience in IRAD & CRAD projects. Programming with C/C++, Java, Fortran, Matlab, Python. CAD software literacy for model cleanup and meshing. Security Clearance Statement This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $88,000 - $152,490. (Other states: salary reflects location.)
