Get to Know Your Team UT Health Athens is a 127‑bed facility with a Level IV trauma center, Level III stroke center, 10‑bed ICU, maternity unit, radiation therapy center, and a stand‑alone ED in Gun Barrel City. Responsibilities Facilitate precise radiation treatments for patients. Address theoretical and practical problems of ionizing radiation measurements in clinical settings. Calibrate radiation‑producing and detecting equipment, including nuclear medical apparatus, and measure radiation output of treatment sources. Provide dose‑calculation services for patient treatment and diagnosis using various radiation sources, and offer consultation and collaboration services to other departments. Assist in evaluating, selecting, and implementing innovative software and hardware technologies relevant to Radiation Oncology. Develop Proforma documents to justify new Radiation Oncology technologies. Qualifications Master's degree in medical physics. ABR board eligible. Texas licensure.
