BayCare Health Systems is currently seeking an experienced RN First Assist (RNFA) to join our compassionate staffing resource office team. BayCare offers a variety of assignment options including:

System Pool- 13-week full time assignment for assigned department - unit provided schedule - block scheduling not available

Seasonal Pool has a mileage eligibility 13-week assignment for assignment department/hospital-unit provided schedule-block scheduling not available

Summary:

Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) responsibilities include:

• The Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) is proficient in the care of a patient population utilizing effective managerial skills.
• Acts as a professional role model for other members of the nursing team. This position is responsible for developing self and team members and sharing organizational information
• Position requires Trocar insertion under direct surgeon supervision and requires injection of local anesthetic under surgeon supervision
• For this position, we strongly prefer a minimum of 3 years RN experience in the Operating Room. Current CNOR and Technical Program completion are required.

Certifications and Licensures:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• RN (Registered Nurse)
• Certified Operating Room Nurse (CNOR) certification

Education:

• Associate's Nursing or Nursing Diploma
• Bachelor's Nursing (Preferred)
• Technical Program Completion or Degree

Experience :

• Required experience includes 3 years acute care RN Operating Room experience- Must be proficient in robotics, ortho, plastics and general.

On Call: Yes -Must take call and late stay when needed. Be within 30min of facility or willing to stay in sleep room. Must be proficient in robotics, ortho, plastics and general.
