MEMBERSHIP SALES ASSOCIATE

The Role

• TIDEWATER is a private, members-only club in Charleston built for the next generation of leaders. We have a cocktail bar, golf simulators, pickleball courts, a full kitchen and patio, a conference room, and cold plunge & sauna. The Membership Sales Associate brings new members into the club. You are often the first person a prospect meets, and you show them what belonging at TIDEWATER feels like. You report to the General Manager and work closely with the Membership Director.

What You'll Own

Pipeline & Prospecting

• Respond quickly to every inquiry and lead
• Follow up consistently and move prospects from first contact to signed membership
• Keep the CRM accurate and current;
  report weekly on pipeline activity
• Generate your own leads through networking, referrals and community events

Tours & Presentations

• Lead club tours and show the space, the programming and the community
• Explain membership tiers, pricing, benefits and policies clearly and with confidence
• Match each prospect to the membership that fits their lifestyle

Applications & Onboarding

• Process applications and payments accurately
• Give every new member a warm, seamless first 30 days
• Introduce new members to the staff, the programming and other members

Events & Retention

• Host and attend member events, prospect nights and guest experiences
• Collect member feedback and share it with leadership
• Build relationships that lead to renewals and referrals

Who You Are

• A natural connector who likes meeting people and remembers names
• Competitive, goal-driven and motivated by results
• Polished and professional, warm without being salesy
• Self-starting and organized;
  you follow through without being reminded

Skills & Experience

• 2+ years in membership sales, hospitality sales or another consultative sales role
• Strong communication in person, by phone and over email
• Comfortable with CRM systems and digital tools
• Knowledge of golf, pickleball or private clubs is a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent required;
  a hospitality or business degree is a plus

Schedule & Compensation

Full-time, on-site. The schedule is flexible and includes evenings and weekends, based on club events and member needs. Compensation is $40,000 plus uncapped commission, paid semi monthly with club access perks.
